Metroland Cultures is seeking an experienced Programmes Curator with a strong focus on community engagement to join our team.

In this role you will have the responsibility of overseeing and delivering our Metroland Young Associates and Peer-to-Peer Programme, while also spearheading the development of our biannual Community Commissions.

Collaborating closely with the Brent Biennial Curator, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting community-centred programming and commissioning. 

About you

We encourage applications from curators with a background in educational work or participation who are eager to extend their practice and shape the direction of a grassroots organisation.

You will have excellent project management skills and demonstrable experience of organising and delivering public events for a range of audiences, including those who have experienced marginalisation.

Metroland Cultures is an arts charity that works in, and for, the London Borough of Brent. Our mission is to build, share and support art and culture in the borough. We work with the communities around us, to amplify their stories of life here. And we support artists to tell new ones. 

PRACTICAL INFO AND DEADLINE

This is a permanent role for 4 days per week, £25.6k – £27.2k pa (£32 – £34k FTE). We encourage applications from people who are underrepresented in the arts. You are welcome to have an informal conversation about the role, find out how in the job pack below.
