Introduction
What was Collective Rhythms? Find out more.
Collective Rhythms was a summer festival of music, sound and healing that happened across the London Borough of Brent.
Taking place from July to September 2023, Collective Rhythms included live performances, family events, exhibitions, day-long festivals, talks and healing workshops. It also included our Metroland Young Associates programme, helping young people from Brent to start out in creative careers.
The festival covered Brent, from the north to the south. Together, we told a story of a borough forged through music, and explored how sound has helped different people build and heal communities.
Though we might sing different songs, play different instruments, and make different music, in Brent, we all share one Collective Rhythm.
Collective Rhythms was delivered in partnership with arts and community organisations across the borough. It was kindly supported by Brent Council, Arts Council England, The National Lottery Community Fund and John Lyons Charity.
