Metroland Cultures welcomes six new trustees to our Board

Metroland Cultures is delighted to announce the appointment of six new trustees who bring a wealth of experience across the arts, law, communications, curation, and cultural leadership. Their diverse perspectives and expertise will help guide the charity as it continues to support artists and communities across Brent and beyond.
Our New Trustees
Eamonn Maxwell — Curator & Art Advisor
A leading figure in the visual arts, Eamonn brings over two decades of curatorial and advisory experience, including work with the Irish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and Lismore Castle Arts.
Sehr Sarwar — Communications Specialist
Founder and CEO of S&S Strategic Communications, Sehr is an expert in reputation management and media strategy, working across the arts, social justice, and education sectors in London and Dubai.
Nisha Matthew — Residencies Curator, Camden Art Centre
Nisha has nearly two decades of experience in arts programming and residencies, fostering inclusive and non-extractive creative environments for artists and communities.
Melissa Gronlund — Writer & Editor
An accomplished art writer and editor, Melissa’s work explores contemporary art and digital culture, with writing published in leading international journals and newspapers.
Matthew Bennett — Lawyer
A senior solicitor with extensive experience in intellectual property, technology, and data protection law, Matthew brings valuable legal and governance expertise to the board.
Nicole Estlilo Kaiser — Director, Public Gallery London
As Director of Public Gallery, Nicole champions ambitious and experimental exhibitions that connect London’s local audiences with artists from around the world.
Metroland Cultures is thrilled to welcome Eamonn, Sehr, Nisha, Melissa, Matthew, and Nicole to the board. Together, they will play an important role in shaping the charity’s future direction and deepening its commitment to creativity, inclusivity, and community across Brent.
The new trustees join existing board members Moira Lascelles, Adam Farah-Saad, Turab Shah, Chris Prempeh, Elizabeth Aderonke Johnstone, and Jacob Barnes, further strengthening the organisation’s leadership and vision.
