Following the success of the first Brent Biennial, we’re pleased to announce the second will take place from 8 July – 11 September 2022 programmed by our new curatorial team.

Eliel Jones, a curator, writer and organiser based in London, was appointed over the summer as Curator of the Brent Biennial 2022. Eliel will work closely with Lauren Wright, Head of Programmes for Metroland Cultures and a new curatorial committee consisting of three invited artists: former Brent Biennial alumni Abbas Zahedi and Adam Farah; and London-based artist, writer and researcher Jamila Prowse.

The team will work closely with these artists and Brent-based community organisations from the outset, as part of the commissioning process, to plan the artistic and community-engagement programme for the Brent Biennial 2022.
