We’re looking for new trustees

Are you passionate about supporting visual artists to connect with communities? We are looking for additional Trustees to join our Board, to work with and steward us on the next stage of our journey.

We are particularly looking for Board Members with expertise in running or working within a visual arts organisation, with legal expertise, and for someone with financial experience to take up the role of Treasurer. We also welcome applications from anyone who is passionate about our work and would like to give their time and expertise in helping us thrive.

Our Trustees

Metroland Cultures is a registered charity. As a charity, we are governed by a board of trustees. Our trustees are all from Brent or meaningfully connected to the borough through home, upbringing or work.

The Board and team work closely together. The Board bring invaluable knowledge and lived experience of Brent. They also oversee of all our work in line with our charitable objectives and strategy.

New members will join an existing Board who bring a range of expertise to Metroland.

The role of Trustee

Board Members ensure that Metroland Cultures works towards its charitable aims and objectives as set out in governing documents created when the charity was established. This includes making sure that the charity uses its resourses (financial and otherwise) towards its goals, contributing to the Board’s role in advising on the strategic direction of the organisation, and safeguarding its reputation and values.

We are looking for Board Members who are excited by Metroland Culture’s vision and mission. You will be expected to bring energy and commitment to supporting the team at Metroland and to galvanising partners to form a shared vision for the future of our borough, with culture firmly at its heart.
